Ocean Pathfinder Introduction
Back then when we did not have all of these technologies the way that we heard sound was by hydrographers, they would use this type of lead lines that would measure the size and depth of the entire ocean. Theses lead lines is a line that has ten pounds attached to the end of it. So then what happens is the hydrographers will then lower this line or sometimes it will be just a rope and then they drop it down into the bottom of the water until it then finally hits the very bottom. These lines have markings on them and this represents the depth of the water wants you take it out the water. Doing this gives out details and information that you are not sure of at the bottom of the sea. However they end up sometimes using multi beam to get the size of the of the sea floors measurements. But now since we have all these new technologies the old ways dont really exist anymore.
